Our promise is simple: to build a cue that’s perfect for you. With McDermott, you won’t pay more than you need to, or settle for less than you want. You begin with a blank North American maple cue and express your personal style by adding color, wrap, tip type, weight, tip size, decal points and engraving. The cues are built to the highest quality standards and backed by our service leading Lifetime Warranty and FREE Lifetime Maintenance Program.
How long does it take to ship?
Once we receive your order, your design is scheduled and materials are prepared. Every Genesis Your Cue is made to order and is generally shipped in 2 to 4 weeks.
How much does it cost?
The cost of a Genesis Your Cue is surprisingly low: the regular retail price plus any upgrades you may select.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
We start manufacturing your Genesis cue immediately. Therefore we have a no cancellation or modification policy.
What is your personalization policy?
You can submit a series of letters and numbers to make your cue personal. While we accept most personalization requests, we cannot honor every one. Some may contain trademarked names, brands, and inappropriate materials we do not wish to put on our products.
May I return an incorrect or flawed product?

Why are there 17 color options?
It’s simple: We don’t think you should be limited to 3 or 4 colors. We want to make sure that your cue reflects your individual style and taste. The color does not affect playability but the rarer colors do affect the cue’s collectibility.
Why upgrade to a leather wrap?
While linen absorbs moisture better, leather is more durable, softer to the touch and more prestigious, thus adding to the overall value of the cue.
Why is 19 ounces the industry standard for the weight of a cue?
A 19oz. cue allows you to properly control the speed of the cue ball. A heavier cue is recommended to generate more spin on the ball, but beware as you will miscue more often and have a tendency to put too much spin on the ball.
Why do most cues come with a 13 millimeter tip size?
This size fits most player’s hand size. If you have smaller hands, you may wish to choose a smaller tip size. A smaller tip size is preferred by players who want to put more spin on the ball and a larger tip size is used by players who prefer a power game.
What is the difference between a Triangle tip (standard on all McDermott cues) and a Moori tip?
The tip is “where the action is” during a shot. Moori tips are generally used by more advanced players who demand more spin on the ball. These tips also have greater durability, which is why they cost more. Triangle tips are a very good blend of power, control and durability.
